Our Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Management Specialist - Quantitative Equity to join our team in San Francisco. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a talented group of professionals who share your passion for finance and technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage portfolio cash flows including subscriptions, redemptions and equitizations
  • Manage portfolio FX exposures
  • Manage derivative lifecycle events for futures, TRS, FX forwards, and options
  • Manage daily processes and rebalance activity for active ETFs and other portfolios
  • Rebalance futures, FX overlay and portable alpha strategies
  • Ensure portfolios remain in compliance with their investment guidelines
  • Monitor, submit elections, and ensure proper processing of corporate actions
  • Deliver operational excellence and foster a culture of investment risk control and compliance
  • Work alongside SAE Portfolio Management, Product Strategy and Research, and Business Management teams to execute key commercial initiatives and onboard new products, mandates and clients
  • Partner with BlackRock business partners to drive system enhancements, and investment and trading process improvements

The Right Candidate

To be successful in this role, you will require a degree in a quantitative field (e.g. computer science, engineering, physics, math, finance, or economics) and at least 2 years of experience in a portfolio management-related or trading role. Knowledge of Aladdin, programming skills in Python, MATLAB or other languages, and experience with iShares and ETF portfolio management are highly desirable.

Your Compensation

This position is based in San Francisco and comes with a competitive salary range of $125,000 - $209,000. In addition to your base salary, you will also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package that includes healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
