Job Overview:

Baptist Health is seeking a skilled PRN Community/Retail Pharmacist to contribute to our Pharmacy Team. This role offers flexible hours and comprehensive training.

  • Assist in overseeing pharmacy operations and personnel, ensuring seamless day-to-day functions.
  • Support the development and training of community pharmacy staff, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with Baptist Health policies, 340B program, accrediting bodies, REMS, third-party payers, and state and federal regulations.
  • Timely completion of claim and invoice reconciliation is essential.
  • Adequate control and documentation of controlled substance ordering, receiving, inventory management, and dispensing are critical.
  • Maintain compliance with immunization protocols and ensure staff have current training, including BLS CPR certification.
  • Report Good Catches, Adverse Drug Events, and Medication/Fluid errors promptly.
  • Coordinate safe transitions of care from the hospital with patients, caregivers, other institutions, providers, and pharmacies.
  • Promote patient survey feedback and implement solutions for continuous improvement of the patient experience.
  • Perform responsibilities of Community Pharmacy Manager during their absence.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy required.
  • Kentucky and/or Indiana Board of Pharmacy license as applicable to site.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Community Pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Immunization certification must be obtained within 6 months from date of hire.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
