Service Technician III Job Description

Daikin Applied is seeking a highly skilled Service Technician III to join our team. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on a wide range of HVAC equipment, including rooftop units, split systems, and chillers.
  • Conduct advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Provide training and guidance to less experienced technicians.
  • Lead the rebuild and retrofit of HVAC units, and direct technicians through hands-on demonstrations.
  • Adhere to safety policies and OSHA guidelines, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, and provide technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Identify and quote opportunities for minor repairs, and communicate potential sales opportunities to the sales staff.
  • Record and report billing, inventory, and other relevant data.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree or equivalent in HVAC or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC service and repair, with increasing responsibility.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • State license or certifications as required by market.
  • EPA approved Universal Technician Certification.
