Position Overview:
Utilize the nursing process to deliver direct care to assigned patients while ensuring compliance with hospital and departmental policies. Patient care responsibilities may encompass various age groups, including Neonate, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric.
Key Responsibilities:
* Patient Care: Provide safe and effective care to a designated group of patients as required.
* Policy Adherence: Operate within the framework of hospital and nursing division policies.
* Care Planning: Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement and document personalized care plans, considering age-specific needs, discharge planning, and patient/family education.
* Assistance with Procedures: Support special tests and procedures, ensuring proper consent is obtained.
* Emergency Response: Assist in implementing emergency measures for sudden patient developments.
* Training and Development: Participate in the orientation and evaluation of new staff members.
* Medical Record Maintenance: Ensure patient medical records are complete and accurate.

Credentials:

* CPR for Healthcare Providers/BLS within 30 days
* Licensed Practical Nurse in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement
* Basic Arrhythmia Certification within 1 year
* Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification within 1 year
Physical Requirements:
Heavy Work: Ability to exert significant force to move objects or individuals, exceeding the requirements for Medium Work.
