We are seeking an experienced people leader to drive software and game quality as the Development Director at Electronic Arts.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to lead an Open World game project, providing operational leadership for the Quality Verification (QV) department. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing planning in all development stages from pre-production to live services.
  • Scope and Capacity Management across QV.
  • Overall Open World project risk management and reporting.
  • Creating scenarios and guiding the decision-making process for our Open World Title.
  • Improving operational effectiveness of team effort by assessing current practices, incorporating new strategies, and increasing predictability.
  • Effective change management, embracing change as an opportunity to drive strategic, business-impacting change.
Your Key Responsibilities

As a Development Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Mentoring and supporting other leaders across all disciplines; building and mentoring teams.
  • Identifying resourcing needs, guiding and developing changes to talent, skills, and practices to accomplish operational and strategic goals.
  • Coordinating talent management and succession planning.
  • Monitoring and evolving talent skill mix, using training and active recruitment plans and strategies.
  • Promoting a culture of diversity and inclusion.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3+ years of applicable Open World games work experience.
  • 5+ years of project management or team leadership experience.
  • 3+ years of experience managing people, including managing managers.
  • 3+ years of experience leading and growing teams building Open World games.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Understanding of software quality assurance and software development lifecycle practices.
  • University Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
Compensation and Benefits

Electronic Arts offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $140,700 - $204,700 USD Annually in California, $125,300 - $204,700 USD Annually in New York, $164,800 - $204,700 USD Annually in Jersey City, NJ, $131,000 - $174,800 USD Annually in Colorado, $125,300 - $198,100 USD Annually in Washington, and $115,100 - $161,200 CAN Annually in British Columbia. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, sick time, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k), certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
