We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team at Synectics. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design team in the development of structural concepts, practices, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the design team in the application of structural analysis finite element models and calculation reports.
  • Review and approve structural analysis finite element models developed by junior engineers.
  • Coordinate structural 3D models with other disciplines and evaluate building and structural system performances.
  • Prepare construction documents and ensure design coordination with other disciplines.
  • Review engineering documents and specifications, and ensure code compliance of design.
  • Assess existing structures and determine the cause of structural failures, deficiencies, accidents, etc.
  • Provide reports detailing investigations and assessment of damages to the structure.
  • Perform site visits and inspections, and maintain project schedules and achieve all project deadlines and milestones within the project budget.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • Florida P.E. License desired.
  • Strong understanding of commonly used construction materials and extensive knowledge of standard and local construction practices and national and state design codes and design standards.
  • Extensive design experience utilizing structural design software such as Risa Floor, Risa-3D & Risa Foundation, ETABS, Adapt Builder, Adapt PT/RC, and Wood Works Design Suite.
  • Proficient in Revit Design Suite 2024 and later.
  • 5+ years of design and engineering experience.
