Position Overview

HEIDARI LAW GROUP, P.C., recognized as a leading Plaintiff's Personal Injury and Employment law firm in California and Nevada, is seeking to expand its team with two Personal Injury Litigation Associates. Our firm is known for its ethical representation and commitment to our clients' interests.

Role Summary:

We are in search of motivated candidates who are ready to take charge of their own cases and are eager to gain trial experience. Unlike many firms, we support our associates in managing cases from initial intake through to trial, offering invaluable opportunities for extensive litigation, negotiation, and trial experience.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred experience of two (2) to seven (7) years in civil litigation.
  • Ability to manage a caseload of forty (40) to seventy (70) cases, based on experience.
  • Experience in personal injury litigation and trial is highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with employment law is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Proficient in legal research techniques, including Shephardizing and/or KeyCiting for law and motion purposes.
  • Experience with WestlawNext and/or LexisAdvance is a significant plus.
  • Federal Court litigation experience is welcome, but not required; training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in various personal injury cases, including products liability, premises liability, and motor vehicle accidents.
  • Conduct depositions and defend against them, including those involving plaintiffs, experts, and witnesses.
  • Engage in law and motion practice, including drafting motions and oppositions for various types of motions.
  • Prepare for trials, including creating motions in limine, special verdict forms, and jury instructions.
  • Manage discovery processes, including propounding and responding to discovery requests.
  • Draft complaints for a range of cases, from basic motor vehicle accidents to complex premises and assault cases.

Requirements:

  • Must be licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • Nevada State Bar licensure is a plus but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent time management skills, including the ability to prioritize cases and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills, essential for managing the required caseloads.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment with other attorneys and paralegals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat DC.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive starting salary, performance bonuses, vacation time, and comprehensive medical coverage, including a 90% contribution to the Kaiser Gold Plan with the option to switch to PPO, along with dental insurance. Compensation will be based on experience.
