Key Responsibilities:

  • Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests to ensure accurate and safe procedures.
  • Explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as needed.
  • Position patients correctly for scanning, using your knowledge of anatomy and physiology to optimize image quality.
  • Operate computerized tomography equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues.
  • Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance image visibility, while following strict safety protocols.
  • Evaluate CT scans to determine technical quality and identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology and procedures, including the McKesson PACS system.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist.
  • Active BLS certification.
  • ARRT National certification with registration in computed tomography.
  • State-specific licensing, as required.

Physical Demands:

As a CT Technologist, you should be able to stand and walk for extended periods, as well as bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty. You should also have a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Additional Certifications:

Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment. We will provide support and guidance throughout the process.
