Maintenance Technician
Reports to the Facility Supervisor
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing daily building maintenance tasks for a first-class inn/banquet hall and vacation community in Hampton bays. The ideal candidate must represent the ownership of the resort in a courteous and professional manner at all times, while maintaining the facility in a first-class manner. Effective communication with other staff members and hotel guests is essential.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing general maintenance tasks:
- Plumbing - clearing stoppages, repairing and replacing fixtures, repairing leaks.
- Electrical – replacing fixtures, switches, and outlets. Changing breakers if necessary.
- Door locks and hardware repairs
- HVAC – filter changes, and preventative maintenance
- Painting and spackling
- Tile repair and caulking
- Cleaning of the common areas
- Maintaining the pools and spa in compliance with dept of health regulations.
- Answering work order requests and performance repairs
- Keeping the facility presentable and safe.
- Performing snow removal during and after storms.
- Preparing vacant units for occupancy
The Maintenance Technician must be available to work rotating weekend shifts and after-hours on-call service.
