Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center. As a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results, which are essential for diagnosing and treating patients.
Responsibilities- Perform a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures, including waived, moderate, and highly complex tests, using both manual and automated methods.
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results, adhering to established quality control policies and procedures.
- Identify and correct problems that may adversely affect test performance, and notify supervisors or directors as needed.
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Review and verify the accuracy of patient test results before releasing or reporting them.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of laboratory policies and procedures.
- Supervise and train medical technicians and laboratory assistants as needed.
- Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture on patients of all ages.
- Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science (or related field) from an accredited college.
- Valid Clinical Laboratory Technologist (CLT) license from the State of Nevada (or eligibility to work while license is pending or provisional).
- Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience (new graduates considered).
- Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English.
- Ability to work independently and problem-solve effectively.
- Flexibility to work any shift as needed.
