Role Overview:

The Acute Registered Nurse will work in a dynamic environment providing nephrology care to patients with end-stage renal disease or chronic kidney disease. The nurse will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of clinicians to deliver high-quality patient care, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and educate patients and their families on dialysis treatment options and self-care techniques.

Responsibilities:

* Provide direct patient care in a hospital setting, including conducting patient observations, measuring vital signs, and setting up dialysis machines

* Collaborate with PCTs to deliver comprehensive patient care, addressing patient needs, and responding to emergencies as needed

* Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes, including data analysis, problem-solving, and process improvements

* Educate patients and their families on dialysis treatment options, self-care techniques, and medication management

Requirements:

* Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania

* Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N.) from an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) preferred

* 3 months of experience as an RN in a hospital setting, with training provided by DaVita for those without prior dialysis experience

The Acute Registered Nurse will work in a fast-paced hospital environment, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of clinicians to deliver high-quality patient care.
