Senior Drafting Specialist

This position involves preparing complex drawings and computer models for various engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drafting and be proficient in using various software such as AutoCAD, CATIA, CREO, Solidworks, Unigraphic, and Visio.

The successful candidate will work independently to resolve most problems encountered, with occasional guidance from a supervisor or design originator. They will be responsible for selecting required information from computer programs, internet sites, precedents, manufacturers' catalogs, and technical guides.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare complete sets of drawings of test equipment to be manufactured from layouts, models, or sketches.
• Determine the arrangement and prepare drawings of printed circuit boards from electronic schematics and manuals.
• Prepare final construction drawings for floodgates, navigation locks, dams, bridges, culverts, levees, channel excavations, dikes, and berms.
• Prepare final drawings for street paving and widening or for water and sewer lines having complex trunk lines.

Requirements:

• A.S. Degree in Drafting preferred.
• 5-10 years of drafting experience.
• Proficient in using various drafting software.
