About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Radiation Oncology Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive patient care in a state-of-the-art radiation oncology setting. You will work closely with our radiation oncologist and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans for patients undergoing radiation therapy.
- Conduct thorough medical history reviews and physical examinations to determine patient eligibility and suitability for radiation therapy.
- Collaborate with our radiation oncologist to create personalized treatment plans, taking into account each patient's unique medical condition, treatment goals, and potential side effects.
- Administer radiation therapy treatments, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information, treatment plans, and interventions in our electronic medical records system.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in radiation therapy techniques, equipment, and research, and apply evidence-based practice in patient care.
We are looking for a highly skilled and compassionate Radiation Oncology Nurse Practitioner with:
- A Master's degree in Nursing or a Doctorate.
- Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner and an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
- Prior experience in oncology nursing, preferably in a radiation oncology setting.
- Strong knowledge of radiation therapy principles, techniques, and safety protocols.
- Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to establish strong relationships with patients and their families.
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems and other healthcare software.
