A graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program is required. Registration as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or certification in Sonography (S) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is also necessary.

The ideal candidate will contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care, educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure patient understanding and cooperation, and prepare equipment and supplies. They will also implement safety standards, perform quality control procedures on equipment, troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions, and analyze results to identify issues with imaging quality.
