Job Summary:

The Hernando County School District is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paraprofessional to support students with exceptional educational needs. As a Paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in ensuring the academic and personal success of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in implementing instructional programs and providing support to students with diverse learning needs.
• Provide basic maintenance and nursing care for children, ensuring a safe and healthy learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement individualized education plans.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure seamless support and services.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in special education and instructional support.
• Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture by promoting social-emotional learning and character development.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
• Knowledge of office equipment and technology
• Ability to work well with others and follow instructions
• CPI training as needed
• Preferred: Degree, sixty (60) college credits or a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment Exam

Work Schedule:

• 186 Days / 7 hours per day
