Position Type: 1099 Locum Tenens
Role: Advanced Practice Provider in Critical Care
Location: Illinois
Coverage Duration: Ongoing

Work Schedule:
  • In-house shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM on weekends and holidays, with night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.
  • Coverage required starting in September 2024 with specific dates outlined for ongoing needs.
  • Weekend shifts are mandatory.
  • No on-call duties required.
Position Details:
  • Patient demographic: 100% adult population.
  • Daily case load: Approximately 12 patients during day shifts, with 2-3 admissions, and 2-4 admissions during night shifts.
  • Weekend day shift may handle up to 6 patients via Tele-ICU.
  • Procedures include: Intubation, Arterial Lines, Central Lines, Chest Tubes, and Dialysis Catheter placements.
  • Facility designation: Level II Trauma Center.
  • Electronic Medical Records System: EPIC.
  • Preference for Certified Physician Assistants; Nurse Practitioners may be considered with additional acute care certification and ICU experience.
Qualifications:
  • Must hold NCCPA or Acute Care NP Certification.
  • AHA ACLS Certification is mandatory.
  • Availability as per request is essential.
  • Proof of Covid vaccination is required for employment at the facility.
