Job Overview

Estimator Position for a Leading Construction Firm

Donna Cornell Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a skilled Estimator to enhance our expanding team. This role is pivotal in providing accurate estimates for various interior projects, including walls, trim, and custom millwork. Please note that this position does not encompass electrical or mechanical estimating.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed construction cost estimates for a variety of projects.
  • Analyze architectural plans to prepare comprehensive cost assessments.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Utilize estimating software and tools to streamline the estimation process.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of commercial construction methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably with a General Contractor or in Carpentry.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Applied Science, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred but not essential.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel, with experience in estimating software.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adhere to tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
