Automated Test Hardware Engineer Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Automated Test Hardware Engineer Intern to join our team at Shure Incorporated. As an intern, you will assist in the design and development of electronic and acoustical production test fixtures and systems to test the functionality of our products in all production facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in developing written test plans based on new product requirements and product schematics.
- Develop new test capabilities using off-the-shelf solutions, software-defined test instrumentation, or custom-designed hardware.
- Create and maintain schematics, bills of materials, test specifications, and other necessary documentation to support test systems and fixtures.
- Create and maintain functional test programs to automate test equipment measurements, signal path switching, and product control.
- Provide basic electrical verification and troubleshooting of test fixtures, components, and test racks (continuity, voltages, etc.).
- Troubleshoot measurement issues such as voltage levels, RF (radio frequency) output power, RF and audio frequency response, RF sensitivity, and noise floor.
- Analyze the reliability and capability of test fixtures, software, and systems, using statistical tools.
- Assist in the construction of functional test fixtures, which entails soldering wires/connectors, and populating printed circuit board components.
- In-process of a bachelor's or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering (Preferably Junior/Senior).
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
- Basic troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Experience with common measurement instruments: DMM and Oscope.
- Highly-organized and willing to learn.
- Able to follow standard instructions, practices and procedures provided by mentor.
- Self-motivated, team player, detail oriented.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
