About the Role:
The Culinary Director is a key member of our team at Bridge Senior Living, responsible for overseeing the entire food service operation. This includes developing departmental budgets and staffing plans, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation, and maintaining a safe and clean dining environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire food service operation, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets and staffing plans to ensure efficient operations.
- Maintain a safe and clean dining environment, adhering to federal, state, and local standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with the Dining Room Manager and Executive Chef to ensure seamless operations and high-quality food service.
- Participate in monthly Food Committee Meetings to review resident feedback and improve quality and operational efficiency.
- Organize special events, parties, and banquets to enhance the resident experience.
- Conduct regular in-services with staff to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation protocols.
Requirements:
- Culinary degree and relevant certifications (e.g., Serve Safe Certification).
- At least 3 years of progressively responsible work experience in senior living or high-volume, high-end food service environments.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to adapt to changing situations.
