Aerial Emergency Medical Technician

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an Aerial Emergency Medical Technician to join our team of skilled air transport professionals dedicated to the safe transfer of patients to and from healthcare facilities, as well as responding to emergency calls. Our commitment to safety and efficient patient care is paramount; thus, you will collaborate with a dedicated team that upholds the highest safety standards for both crew and patients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assess each emergency situation to determine the most effective response to support, monitor, and treat patients in critical conditions
  • Employ critical thinking to manage adult or pediatric patients who are critically ill or injured, while adhering to physicians' directives
  • Ensure a safe, organized, and well-equipped aircraft environment, performing regular equipment checks and adhering to safety protocols
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, healthcare facilities, and partners in a professional manner
  • Provide thorough shift change information to the incoming team and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards
  • Maintain required certifications and engage in ongoing training relevant to the position
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and a commitment to meeting our elevated standards in safety and service
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Required Experience and Education
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in emergency or critical care settings
    • Current EMT-P Certification/License for the applicable state(s)
    • Valid American Heart Association (AHA) certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP/EPC
    • PHTLS certification required prior to flight status
    • PHNRP certification must be obtained within 3 months of employment
    • FP-C certification must be obtained and maintained within 24 months of employment
  • Preferred Experience and Education:
    • Previous experience in air medical transport
    • Advanced Certification (FP-C)
    • Instructor certifications in BLC, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, PHTLS
