Position Overview:
As a Travel Nurse RN specializing in Interventional Radiology, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. This position involves working Monday through Friday with rotating on-call responsibilities.
Unit Details:
The unit comprises 3 suites with a dedicated team of 10 staff members, including 6 Registered Nurses and 4 technologists. The day shift is staffed with 6 RNs and 4 techs, ensuring optimal patient care and support.
Equipment and Technology:
You will work with advanced equipment, including Phillips imaging systems (2 biplanes and 1 single plane). The electronic medical record system utilized is Meditech, alongside GE Centricity PACS.
Essential Qualifications:
Candidates must possess:
- Neuro interventional experience
- Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience
- ARRT certification
Preferred qualifications include:
- VI registry
- Experience with Meditech
- Familiarity with Phillips equipment
Typical Procedures:
The unit performs a variety of procedures, including:
- Neuro Interventional procedures (thrombectomies, coilings, spinal angiograms, etc.)
- IR body cases (g tubes, biopsies, PCNs, Mediports, TIPS)
- Trauma Angiograms (spleen, liver, renal, etc.)
Ideal Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate will be a team player, adaptable to varying physician preferences, and comfortable with on-call duties.
Certification Requirements:
- ARRT certification is mandatory
Work Schedule:
The average on-call requirement is 13 days per month, including 1 to 2 weekends. Call teams consist of 2 technologists and 2 nurses per day.
Contract Details:
This position guarantees hours over a contract period of 91 weeks.
