Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and assess response to ordered therapy per plan of care
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate
  • Evaluate respiratory care policies and procedures based on patient outcomes, current research, and best practices
  • Respond to codes and calls for emergent assistance
  • Educate patients and families about their illness and provide information about community resources
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
  • Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • State licensure
  • NRP obtained within 1 year if assigned to NICU; tracked on unit
  • PALS within 1 year if assigned to ED; tracked on unit
  • ACLS
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
