Job Title: Lead Cook

At Brattleboro Food Co-op, we're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Cook to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient daily workflow and food service department operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing products and maintaining production systems
  • Oversee the exceptional presentation of meal services
  • Assist the Food Services Manager in meeting goals
  • Provide attentive and courteous customer service
  • Maintain a polite, friendly, and helpful attitude towards internal and external customers
Requirements:
  • Self-motivated, organized, responsible, and flexible
  • Effective communication skills
  • Professional cooking experience, with 3-5 years of practical application
  • Relevant leadership skills
  • Quick and proficient cooking skills, knife work, and an understanding of large-scale production
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
