Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain Cafeteria Setup and Cleanliness: Ensure the cafeteria is clean, organized, and ready for service at all times.
  • Perform Daily End-of-Shift Reports: Accurately complete daily reports to ensure seamless operations.
  • Follow Register Procedures: Adhere to established register procedures, cleaning schedules, and end-of-shift reports.
  • Post Daily Menus: Display menus in a clear and concise manner for customers.
  • Store and Stock Supplies and Food: Maintain adequate stock levels of supplies and food to meet customer demand.
  • Provide Food Preparation and Plating: Prepare and present food in a visually appealing manner.
  • Maintain Daily Temperature Log: Record and monitor temperature logs to ensure food safety.
  • Assist with Food Cart Delivery and Pickup: Support the delivery and pickup of food carts to patient care units.
  • Restock Grab 'n Go: Maintain adequate stock levels of grab 'n go items.
  • Dispose of Trash and Garbage: Properly dispose of trash and garbage in a timely manner.
  • Put Away Clean Dishes and Utensils: Store clean dishes and utensils in a clean and organized manner.
  • Assist with Salad, Sandwich, and Dessert Preparation: Support the preparation of salads, sandwiches, desserts, and nourishments.
  • Perform Special Cleaning Duties: Complete special cleaning duties as assigned by the food service director.
Requirements
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in healthcare or institutional food preparation preferred.
  • Certifications: Food Handlers' Certification required within 30 days.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to multitask, and high degree of organization.
