Job Summary

As a CT Technologist at Sigma Healthcare staffing, you will play a crucial role in acquiring digital images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Under the general supervision of the Radiologist, you will plan and perform all CT procedures and post-processing using advanced technology based on clinical criteria, anatomy, and established protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise to operate CT Scanners, power injectors, and computer systems to acquire images for use by the radiologist in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.
  • Maintain the knowledge to operate different CT Systems at multiple locations.
  • Develop and maintain protocols based on ImageGently Guidelines and CT scanner integration into a program that compiles dose data from each scan performed and notifies the user when a scan exceeds specific preset levels.
  • Obtain CT images according to established protocols, ensuring the patient is properly prepared, positioned, immobilized, and protective shielding is used when applicable.
  • Perform CT Interventional Procedures, including CTA imaging: Carotid, Head, Vertebral, Run-Offs, PE critical bolus timing, and Advanced CTA studies such as TAVR and EVAR.
  • Maintain working knowledge of pharmacology to ensure lab results are obtained prior to scheduled exams.
  • Interpret technical factors to increase quality or speed of scan.
Requirements
  • Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology.
  • Communication, Diagnostic Imaging, Medical Equipment Management, Preceptor Skills, Radiation Safety, Radiology, and Working Independently.
  • BLS Certification.
  • CT experience is a must.
