We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medication Aide to join our team at StoryPoint of Schererville. As a Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by administering medications and providing exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medication Administration: Prepare and administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Resident Care: Verify the identity of residents before administering medication or treatment, and ensure that medication records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Medication Management: Order medications, supplies, and equipment as necessary, and remove expired or discontinued medications from carts and resident apartments.
  • Documentation: Chart and perform documentation duties in accordance with community policies and procedures.
  • Team Collaboration: Assist in the admit, transfer, and discharge of residents, and notify the nurse in charge of any changes in resident condition.
Requirements
  • Licensure: Must be a licensed Qualified Medication Aide.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a long-term care facility.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strong attention to detail.
