About the Role

We are seeking a Pre-Op Registered Nurse to independently perform the functions of a registered nurse in direct patient care. Utilizing the nursing process in the delivery of developmentally appropriate care, you will work in collaboration with other healthcare professionals to provide a comprehensive plan of care to meet the patient/family needs.

Your day will involve requiring in-depth professional knowledge and practical/applied expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines within the broader professional field. You will have knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; demonstrate awareness of the industry, including regulatory, evolving customer demands.

You will act as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead projects with manageable risks and resource requirements. Solving complex problems and taking a new perspective on existing solutions, you will exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.

Impacting a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams, you will work within broad guidelines and policies. Working independently, you will receive minimal guidance.

You will explain difficult or sensitive information; work to build consensus. Overseeing care delivered by patient care team; coordinating plan of care, you will be accountable that patient care meets standards of safety, effectiveness, patient rights and guest relations.

Responsible and accountable for prescribing, delegating and coordinating patient care, you will use clinical judgment based on nursing skills acquired through formal and informal experiential knowledge and evidence-based guidelines to globally assess the patient's situation.

Through critical thinking and clinical decision-making, you will develop an appropriate plan of care for the patient, with the aim of promoting comfort. Providing education and facilitating learning for patients, families, and patient care team in a way that demonstrates a sensitivity to recognize, appreciate, and incorporate differences related to diversity.

You will collaborate with physicians, families and other healthcare professionals to assist in developing and implementing an appropriate plan of care in a way that promotes/encourages each person's contributions towards achieving the best patient outcomes.

Advocating for the patient, representing the concerns of the patient/family and identifying and assisting in resolving ethical and clinical concerns, you will accurately and thoroughly document all patient encounters.

Educated with an estimated salary range of $75,000-$110,000 per year based on location and experience, this role offers a competitive compensation package and opportunities for growth and advancement.
