Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Treatment Nurse to join our team at Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services. As a Treatment Nurse, you will play a critical role in ensuring the comfort, privacy, and dignity of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of new admissions and re-admissions to identify skin care needs and develop treatment plans.
  • Implement preventative measures to prevent pressure ulcers and other skin-related issues.
  • Collaborate with attending physicians to ensure residents receive timely and effective wound care.
  • Provide education to residents and their families on wound care and skin health.
  • Document resident care and treatment plans accurately and thoroughly.
  • Participate in wound care meetings and other departmental meetings to stay up-to-date on best practices.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to resident call lights and requests.
  • Administer medications within the scope of practice and follow infection control protocols.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current, valid LPN or RN license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
  • Ability to make decisions regarding nursing problems and provide education to residents and families.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Knowledge of long-term care regulations and policies.
  • Neat and professional appearance at all times.
