Job Title: Stroke Nurse Coordinator
Onslow Memorial Hospital is looking for a committed Stroke Nurse Coordinator to lead and manage stroke outreach initiatives within the community. This position involves overseeing stroke education initiatives, implementing Stroke Risk Identification Screening Programs for the public, and creating programs that support stroke survivors beyond their hospital stay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with patients, families, healthcare professionals, and community organizations to enhance Stroke Care and prevention efforts.
- Organize and execute regional stroke screening outreach programs.
- Establish and advocate for a care standard aimed at reducing inpatient resource usage.
- Ensure adherence to the guidelines set forth by various healthcare agencies and institutions.
Required Qualifications:
- Education/Certification: A Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Nursing is mandatory, with a Master's in Nursing preferred.
- Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in North Carolina.
- Experience: A minimum of two years in a Neurologic Critical Care or emergency care environment is essential.
- Prior experience in case management and stroke care is highly regarded.
