About the Position

Soliant Health is seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide high-quality services to high school students in the Rochester area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment & Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' speech and language abilities, including articulation, fluency, voice, and language skills.
  • Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet each student's unique needs and goals.
  • Therapeutic Intervention: Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy to help students improve their communication skills and overall academic performance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' speech and language development within the classroom setting.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy approaches as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Compliance: Ensure all services are provided in compliance with state and federal regulations, including IDEA and other applicable laws.
Qualifications
  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Certification: ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred; NY state licensure or eligibility required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a school setting is highly desirable, particularly at the high school level.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
