Position Overview

As a Crisis Intervention Specialist, you will work autonomously within established guidelines to conduct assessments and provide referrals for clients seeking assistance at our Community Crisis Center. Your role will involve determining the necessity for crisis stabilization services and developing comprehensive stabilization plans for clients during their stay and post-discharge.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments and gather pertinent information to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
  • Facilitate referrals to community resources and mental health services as required.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and their support systems to enhance compliance with treatment goals.
  • Document all interactions and care plans in accordance with organizational policies.


Qualifications

Education: A Master's degree in social work or a related human services field is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in a mental health setting is preferred.

Licensure: Candidates must possess a provisional counseling license with the ability to obtain a full license within two years of hire, or be licensed as an LCPC, LCSW, or Clinical Psychologist in Montana.
