Your Responsibilities

This role entails assisting customers with their orders at the counter, sourcing and ordering parts while delivering outstanding customer service. Occasionally, this position will involve warehouse tasks such as loading/unloading shipments, preparing materials for next-day orders, and assisting in the receiving and restocking of parts/products, including operating a forklift.

How You Will Achieve This

  • Engage daily with customers through various communication channels.
  • Input customer orders into the order management system on the same day they are received.
  • Promote and support sales initiatives.
  • Collaborate with regional sales teams and other field personnel to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Work closely with other essential departments such as credit, billing, shipping, purchasing, technical service, and marketing.
  • Investigate and resolve customer inquiries and issues, assisting them in locating and identifying replacement parts.
  • Provide timely updates on scheduled dates and backorder statuses of products.
  • Research and process credit and return requests.
  • Maintain customer orders daily to ensure prompt delivery based on demand.
  • Manage shipping and receiving tasks.
  • Assist with loading and unloading deliveries.

Qualifications We Seek

Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in customer service and handling high-volume calls.
  • Proficiency in a Windows operating environment, including email and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and decision-making capabilities.
  • Effective and professional communication and organizational skills.
  • Robust conflict resolution abilities.
  • Capacity to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.

Preferred Skills:

  • Forklift operation experience and certification.
  • Experience in warehouse operations.
