Job Summary


As a Warehouse Associate 5th Shift, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of mechanical, motorized, and electrical equipment in the facilities work environment. This includes forklifts, dollies, hand trucks, and other equipment. You will also be responsible for the safe movement of goods to and from various locations, ensuring a sound knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently during material handling and warehousing activities, including receiving, processing, storing, moving, and shipping parts, materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Ensure the safe operation of equipment while moving material and entering and exiting trailers.
  • Monitor and maintain a safe working environment, ensuring the safety of all personnel within designated safety zones.
  • Assist in work from various source documents to verify quantities, parts, destinations, and timing prior to material movement.
  • Operate machines for weighing, banding, wrapping, and packaging materials.
  • Perform routine maintenance and servicing of mechanical, motorized, and electrical equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in a warehouse or material handling environment.
  • Basic mathematical skills and ability to read, write, and interpret documents.
  • Warehouse experience and sit-down forklift experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping.
  • Lifting, lowering, pushing, or pulling of various items of varying weight.
  • Work from heights of up to 20 feet from floor.
  • Work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and other business areas.
  • Working knowledge of computerized applications, including word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation software, and email.
