Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Security Systems Specialist to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of complex integrated security systems, including access control, CCTV, and digital recorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure security systems, including wiring, equipment, and programming of access control systems, CCTV, digital recorders, and intercom systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex security system issues, using electronic test equipment and technical documentation.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, and operational product manuals.
  • Perform system checks to ensure proper operation and make adjustments as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, providing training and support as required.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical school program preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in digital and analog camera systems, access control systems, and alarm systems.
  • Strong understanding of IP addressable security devices and TCP/IP networking.
  • Ability to operate a company truck with a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry-recognized apprentice training program or specialized training/certification from security manufacturers.
  • Additional experience in surveillance systems, intrusion detection systems, perimeter intrusion detection systems, and security gate operators.
