Job Title: Health, Safety, and Environment Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Health, Safety, and Environment Coordinator to join our team at Calaway Habeck Talent Consulting. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing full-time EHS support to our clients, ensuring compliance with applicable policy and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and coordinate training programs to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Investigate incidents and develop root cause analyses to prevent future occurrences.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant local EHS legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for EHS policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal and external resources to identify and address loss prevention issues.
  • Supervise EHS consultants and contractors as needed.
  • Develop and maintain an Emergency Action Plan and serve as primary contact for site injury and incident notification.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational / Industrial Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Environmental Science, or other EHS-related field.
  • Prior experience within a company's health and safety program.
  • In-depth knowledge of legislation (e.g., OSHA/EPA) and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged sitting.
  • Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.

Travel Requirements:

  • Main work location Cranston, Rhode Island, must have reliable transportation to travel to other sites and a good driving record.
  • Travel to other MPC sites, 10% of time.
