Sylvan Learning is seeking a part-time math tutor to join our team of education professionals. As a math tutor, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality content to students while building positive relationships with them.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver one-on-one tutoring sessions to students in 1-hour blocks, with the option to work up to 5 blocks per night and 4 nights per week.
- Multitask and effectively tutor up to three students at a time.
- Observe and record students' progress through pre-planned curriculum.
- Communicate clearly and quickly with Center Directors regarding availability and student concerns.
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Math Education.
- Mastery and relatability of math concepts up to calculus.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- No lesson planning required.
- Flexible work-life balance: teach as few as six or as many as twenty hours per week.
- Consistent, year-round employment (1-year or school-year commitments strongly preferred).
- Competitive hourly rates: up to $18/hr, commensurate with experience.
