Our CVICU is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and staffed by experienced nurses who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of critical care/ICU experience, specifically in CVICU. Experience with recovering patients immediately post-op from open-heart surgery up to the first 24 hours after surgery within the last 12 months is highly desirable. The successful candidate will also hold an ND or Compact RN License and possess current certifications in ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), and NIHSS.
Responsibilities- Recover immediate post-operative heart patients and care for other cardiac patient populations such as those utilizing IABP and Impella.
- Perform cardiac monitoring and manage patients on ventilators, central lines, and arterial lines.
- Conduct drip titration and provide tracheostomy care and tube feedings.
- Handle emergent re-opening of sternotomy at the bedside as necessary.
- Utilize equipment such as Hamilton Vents, Alaris pumps, and EVDs in patient care.
- Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio primarily of 2:1, occasionally 1:1 or 3:1 based on the complexity and acuity of patients.
- Minimum of 2 years of critical care/ICU experience, specifically in CVICU.
- Experience with recovering patients immediately post-op from open-heart surgery up to the first 24 hours after surgery within the last 12 months.
- ND or Compact RN License.
- Current certifications in ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), and NIHSS.
The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and location. This figure is based on industry standards and takes into account the level of expertise required for this role. Please note that salaries may vary based on individual circumstances.
