We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at ProMedica Health System. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Assist pharmacists with preparing and dispensing medications, including data entry and insurance billing.
- Receive, store, and inventory drug orders and supplies.
- Perform data entry, insurance billing, and fulfillment of specialty medication.
- Participate in departmental performance improvement activities and e-learning activities.
- Work proficiently within pharmacy workflow software systems.
- Maintain ongoing knowledge and understanding of related disease states and medications pertinent to specialty pharmacy.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician registration or Pharmacy Intern License with Ohio Board of Pharmacy (or equivalent in Michigan).
- Preferred qualifications include prior pharmacy experience and a Pharmacy Technician Training Program.
This role requires the ability to lift materials up to 50 pounds and frequent manual manipulations may affect hands, wrists, elbows, and shoulders. Must be able to move about and between work stations.
