Job Description

The Paycom Client Setup Specialist is responsible for onboarding and guiding new clients to achieve their first successful payroll within Paycom. This role involves educating new clients, customizing software setup to meet their needs, and ensuring a smooth adoption of the Paycom software. The specialist will also collaborate closely with internal partners to provide a seamless experience for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for new clients of Paycom
  • Completes setup tasks for new clients, including company banking information, employee data imports, general ledger mapping, time-off accrual setup, earning/deduction/labor allocation structure, and timekeeping setup
  • Conducts and/or participates in various setup milestone conference calls as outlined in the implementation process
  • Composes, manages, and responds to emails from internal partners and external clients regarding assigned payroll implementations
  • Assists clients with various setup-related questions and scenarios over the phone, including payroll processing questions, timekeeping functionality adjustments, time-off accrual setup questions, adding different earning/deduction codes, employee pay inquiries, payroll funding communication, general ledger questions, and other software-related requests
  • Completes data conversion through Paycom's internal systems to ensure data integrity
  • Attends internal team, supervisor group, and company meetings, as well as completes role-specific process, software, and company training sessions
  • Submits sensitive data through appropriate Paycom platforms in accordance with Paycom Security Standards
  • Coordinates payroll processing timelines with clients to ensure payroll is submitted in accordance with Paycom submission deadlines
  • Communicates the importance of data validation and first payroll preparation requirements to clients to ensure perfect first payrolls
  • Processes standard payrolls under direct supervision
  • Ensures documentation on client processes and notes are logged timely within Paycom CRM
  • Monitors all communication channels, including email and telephone notifications, and provides prompt responses
  • Answers standard questions under direct supervision
  • Keeps management informed of area activities and any significant client problems
  • Works under direct supervision
  • Resolves routine questions and problems using understanding of functional area
  • Refers more complex issues to higher levels
  • Follows established procedures to accomplish requirements of job
  • Builds rapport and trust with clients
  • Adheres to all policies of Paycom, including those outlined in the Paycom Employee Handbook


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, or in lieu of Bachelor's degree, 4 years of experience in client service or implementation-focused role or 1 year of continuous employment with Paycom

  • Bachelor's degree in business-related field
