The University of Texas Medical Branch seeks a Novice Clinician - Entry-Level Professional Nurse to join our team. As a novice clinician, you will be precepted, guided, and mentored to develop your knowledge and skills in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide safe, basic nursing care in routine and predictable situations with supervision of preceptor(s).
- Meet standards for professional practice as specified in the Texas Nurse Practice Act.
- Develop knowledge and skills with guidance and direction from experienced clinicians.
- Practice patient-centered care based on the American Nurses Association Standards of Professional Practice and Professional Performance.
- Current license or valid permit to practice professional nursing in Texas.
- Completion of an accredited basic nursing education program.
- Current BLS certification.
