Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Kitting and Inventory Management: Perform accurate and efficient kitting of parts for all jobs, parts orders, and sales orders, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing errors.
  • Material Handling and Physical Counts: Provide assistance with material handling and physical counts of incoming materials, maintaining accurate records and resolving discrepancies as necessary.
  • Cycle Counts and Inventory Control: Conduct regular cycle counts of inventoried items and work in process, investigating and resolving count discrepancies to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Material Handling Improvement: Participate in material handling improvement efforts by recommending new material handling or storage equipment to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Interact with other departments to support operations, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of related stockroom experience in a manufacturing company.
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to work independently and as a team to prioritize work assignments, make sound judgments with stockroom-related issues, and possess excellent attention to detail.
  • Technical Skills: Basic computer skills, experience with using computer inventory features of an MRP system, and knowledge of material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and fork trucks.
  • Physical Requirements: Standing and walking for a majority of the workday, lifting at least 50 lbs. on occasion, and possessing specific vision abilities required by this job.
