Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at Temple University Hospital. As a Traveling Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and verify medication orders from physicians and physician extenders
  • Dispense medications in accordance with established protocols and guidelines
  • Conduct thorough reviews of patient allergies, medical history, and lab results to identify potential clinical conflicts
  • Manage inventory and maintain accurate records of medication stock
  • Provide expert advice and support to healthcare team members on medication-related matters
  • Supervise and mentor pharmacy students and technicians in the preparation of medications
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement effective discharge plans
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution
  • Doctorate degree in Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred
  • At least one year of experience working in a hospital or clinical setting
Work Schedule

This is a part-time position with rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays. You will be required to work at various sites within Temple Health.
