Job Summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a skilled Floor Care Specialist to join our Environmental Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our hospital facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks in assigned areas, including washing ceilings and walls, mopping hallways and stairwells, and washing, waxing, and/or vacuuming floors.
  • Operate manual, battery-powered, and electric equipment, including mechanical floor cleaners, polishers, scrubbers, and vacuums.
  • Clean and maintain equipment, such as janitor closets, and monitor assigned areas and equipment for needed repairs.
  • Dispose of garbage, waste, soiled linen, regulated, and regular trash in the prescribed manner.
  • Assist with inter-office moves and relocations, moving furniture and other objects as needed.
  • Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Requirements
  • Medium work exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Frequent walking, standing, or squatting.
