Atrium Health Charlotte is seeking a skilled and dedicated professional to fill the role of an Occupational Health Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.
About the RoleThe Occupational Health Specialist will work closely with employers, employees, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement evidence-based health promotion and disease prevention programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical, educational, and retail-based health and wellness program solutions to community employers and employees.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on chronic disease prevention and use motivational strategies and evidence-based action plans and programs to encourage healthy physical and behavioral lifestyle client self-management.
- Promote awareness and prevention by conducting biometric screenings, including blood pressure, waist circumference, glucose, A1C, height, weight, BMI, and review of basic laboratory parameters within established guidelines.
- Perform clinical functions, such as routine personal health surveys, vaccinations, immunizations, blood pressure measurement under applicable state and federal regulations.
- Assist with statistical data entry/gathering and quality assessments to support employer-designed wellness incentive platforms.
- Deploy Employers Solution program/product solutions, including Weight Forward, Quit Smart, CPR, Flu Clinics, to employer community clients.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
- Licensed RN by the state of North Carolina required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required per policy guidelines.
- Minimum 5 years of health care experience with recent experience in community health and wellness, urgent care, occupational health, or home care.
