Position Overview: The Sales Associate plays a vital role in providing exceptional service to customers at the checkout area.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Welcome customers with a friendly demeanor and assist them at the cashier station.
  2. Calculate and finalize customer bills accurately.
  3. Process payments through cash, checks, and credit cards, ensuring all transactions are recorded properly.
  4. Issue change and provide receipts to customers for their purchases.
  5. Handle returns and process refunds or credit notes as per company policy.
  6. Perform daily cash drawer reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
  7. Collaborate with department managers to stay informed about new offerings, their benefits, and any pricing adjustments.
  8. Address customer inquiries regarding services rendered or products purchased, or direct them to the appropriate personnel.
  9. Manage customer complaints with professionalism and escalate issues to management when necessary.
  10. Provide administrative support to various departments as required.
  11. Serve as a backup for the switchboard operator when needed.
  12. Maintain a polished and professional appearance at all times.
  13. Ensure the work area is organized and tidy.
  14. Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
