Job Overview

Vestas is seeking a dedicated Wind Turbine Technician II to join our team. This intermediate-level position involves performing maintenance and/or installation work on assigned wind turbines under minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on wind turbines, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Install new equipment or replace existing components as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  1. A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. At least 1 year of technical wind industry experience, or six (6) months of technical wind industry experience and a certificate of completion from a wind technician program, or a minimum of three (3) years' electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, composite skills, or heavy machinery experience.
  3. The ability to climb stairs and ladders while carrying up to 50 lbs. in weight.
  4. Experience with intermediate level power tools such as hydraulic, power torque, and diagnostic tools.
  5. A valid driver's license.
  6. BASIC computer operation skills, familiarity with internet-based program navigation, and the ability to generate and interpret computer data.
  7. The ability to read, interpret, and understand drawings and schematics and attention to detail to follow safety protocols.

Estimated Salary

Ranging from $70,000 to $100,000 per year, based on location and experience.
