Job Summary:

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining a client base, managing HVAC/plumbing sales, and overseeing field labor for each project. This role requires a high level of commitment and involvement with the company's business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: The Project Manager is the single point of contact for ACCO and the customer. They will perform all project management functions required to promote and finalize sales, including concept engineering, complete estimates, written proposals, direct meetings, and successful job completion.
  • Contract Management: The Project Manager will manage contracts, including sales, estimating, procurement, and execution.
  • Scheduling: They will schedule field labor and installation sequencing.
  • Financial Management: The Project Manager will understand financial aspects of the job, forecast, prepare budget projections, and control costs within agreed-upon limits.
  • Communication: They will provide letters, proposals, memos, contracts, change orders, strategies, and other documents for good business procedures and legal protection.
  • Billing: The Project Manager will be responsible for billing and knowing job costs.
  • Relationship Building: They will build and manage relationships with internal and external customers, including vendors, subcontractors, and the industry.
  • Teamwork: The Project Manager will provide supervision, leadership, and coordination of all ACCO departmental efforts, including Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Construction, and Service during project construction in a timely manner.
  • Problem-Solving: They will identify, analyze, and solve problems in support of personal, group, department, or organizational objectives.
Requirements:
  • Education: BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in estimating, design, and management of HVAC projects from $50,000 to $100+ million.
  • Skills: Ability to operate independently and autonomously, demonstrate a corresponding high sense of integrity, develop new business, and employ strong interpersonal and project management abilities.
  • Competencies: Proactivity, perseverance, insight, engagement, teamwork, big picture, motivation, dedication, technical curiosity, and problem-solving.
Physical Requirements:

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. They must also be able to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.

Work Environment:

The employee will work in a moderate noise level environment and will be required to sit, talk, or hear. They may occasionally be required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Work Schedule:

The employee will work Monday through Friday, beginning between 6:00 am and 7:00 am, and ending between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm, with one hour for lunch. Eight hours per day is required, and occasional overtime may be necessary due to business needs.

Travel:

The employee will travel 0-5% of the time to and from the assigned office location to regional branch offices and/or to project/customer site(s).

Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is $117,000 to $193,500. The actual compensation will be determined by several factors, including job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location.
