About the RoleMidas Chain Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and creative Jewelry Designer to join our team. As a Jewelry Designer, you will be responsible for developing new concepts and ideas that will enhance our jewelry line.
Key Responsibilities- Concept Development: Develop and execute product designs from conception to prototype that achieve overall product strategy and merchandise objectives.
- Design Communication: Sketch design ideas/concepts to convey ideas to the merchandising team.
- Collaboration: Partner with the design team to elaborate and expand design concepts and coordinate seasonal concepts, materials, and hardware.
- Trend Research: Research seasonal trends and develop new design concepts based on the trends to enhance our brand's image in the market.
- Design Review: Ensure designs meet merchant line plans, assortment strategies, and overall creative direction.
- Technical Drawing: Prepare and finalize technical drawings of proposed product to be used for product development process and ensure specs are sent to factories.
- Product Presentation: Create product presentations including boards, tear sheets, and samples and present new product assortment during line previews with internal partners.
- Trend Forecasting: Research and recommend trends and color stories for each season and category.
- Design Calendar: Adhere to design calendar and deadlines.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in art, design (or equivalent work experience) and 3+ years' experience designing fine jewelry.
- Technical Skills: Experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, and 3D Software.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication & presentation skills.
- Attention to Detail: Acute attention to detail.
- Adaptability: Adaptable and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-Solving: Practical problem-solver, highly organized, and self-motivated.
- Interpersonal Skills: Great people skills.
