Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Intervention Specialist to join our team at the Dayton Area School Consortium. As an Intervention Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting students with multiple disabilities and creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of students with multiple disabilities
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to provide comprehensive support services
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in a variety of settings, including classrooms and therapeutic environments
- Assess and address the behavioral and emotional needs of students, using evidence-based strategies and interventions
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless support and services
Requirements:
- Valid ODE Intervention Specialist License (or Alternative or Supplemental licenses)
- Experience working with students with multiple disabilities (preferred)
- Candidate must be credentialed in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) or able to attend 4 days of TCI training and pass TCI test
