At the State of California, we are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Senior Investment Operations Specialist. In this role, you will play a critical part in overseeing and managing relationships with strategic vendors that provide essential services to the CalPERS Investment Office.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of investment operations and vendor management practices, with a strong ability to interact effectively with senior executives and portfolio managers. You will be responsible for developing a vendor management program and decision-making framework for team processes and vendor assessments, focusing on operational efficiencies and mitigation of operational risk.
This position requires advanced degree or certification preferable (e.g. CFA, CAIA, MBA, CPA, FIA, Investment Foundations). Experience in asset management or pension fund industry is highly desirable, along with knowledge of investment strategies, security types, and vendor management practices. Flexibility to handle new functionality and learn new skills to support investment strategies or products is also essential.
We offer a competitive salary range of $10,437.50 - $17,395.83, with an annual incentive opportunity of 0-60% of salary based on level of achievement against several quantitative and qualitative measures. This position is eligible for hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite, per week.
